Welcome to Oakland Diocese's new Stewardship web site!

We are honored that you are visiting the new stewardship web site. Stewardship is very important to living a life of discipleship in Christ.  We are always striving to find new ways to get the message out to our parishes. This web site allows us to reach people we may never have been able to contact before.

Please use this site to access information as a resource for broadening your stewardship efforts. We look forward to hearing from you and answering any questions you might have.

We are very excited to be able to bring community and education through the use of technology.

Catholic Stewardship, Strengths, and Engagement Summit

June 16th, 2008

Sign-in begins at 8:30 am

Summit Begins 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

St. John Vianney Church

Walnut Creek, CA

Dr. Al Winseman, author from “Growing an Engaged Church” and Joe Cavanaugh from Gallup Faith will be presenting in-depth compelling Gallup research on creating engagement in your church.    This is an innovative, Christ-centered approach to stewardship of talent and time, rooted in Catholic spirituality of stewardship and how parishes can increase member participation and service to others.  Learning about this approach will help you to understand why some parishioners are committed and engaged... while others are apathetic…and still others are antagonist and, how this approach can strengthen stewardship efforts and promote ongoing spiritual renewal.  This Summit is intended for Pastors, Pastoral Associates, School Principals and Lay individuals in Leadership roles.  This is being sponsored by the Stewardship Department of the Oakland Diocese and the Department of Pastoral Ministries of the Archdiocese of San Francisco.  Cost is $35.00 per person and includes lunch.  Please call 510-628-2186 to RSVP before June 11th, 2008 or email dgunn@oakdiocese.org.
